Akaysha Energy has received planning consent to develop and deploy a large-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) near Murray Bridge South Australia known as the Mobilong BESS.
The BESS will occupy an area of 3.5 hectares within the proposed site and is approximately 5km north of Murray Bridge within rural land adjacent to the SAPN Mobilong substation.
The BESS will have a capacity of 200MW and provide up to 4 hours or 800MWh of energy storage, delivered using class-leading battery technology.
