Akaysha is developing a large scale BESS adjacent to the Western Downs Substation in Queensland’s energy heartland. The BESS will support the rapid expansion of solar and wind projects leveraging existing transmission infrastructure in the Western Downs built for conventional energy. The BESS will ensure cost efficient delivery of renewable energy to customers in Queensland while supporting the network.
Phase 1 of the Ulinda Park project is 150MW/300MWh using Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) cell technology. Ulinda Park has received Development Approval from the Western Down Council.
